The past five years have been all about things like cool gray walls, Beni Ourain style Moroccan rugs, wall to wall mid-century modern, sputnik-inspired chandeliers, and lets not forget farmhouse everything! 1. Antique KITCHEN TOOLS.
You’ve already probably started to noticed in every magazine worthy kitchen they have rustic-looking bread boards, wooden spoons and bowls scattered about counter tops and open shelving all over the internet. Antique and primitive kitchen tools are actually a major trend that is only going to get bigger in 2020 as we lean towards a more authentic and organic feel for our homes.
2. DARK REGAL COLOURED KITCHEN CABINET.
These rich coloured cabinets have been making there way back in little by little over the last few years. It started with accent islands in all white-kitchens, or gray cabinets instead of white, and now cabinets are being drenched in rich royal colours. While deep blues have been a major style trend in all areas of the home, it will continue to be popular in 2020, but the star of the show is a dark green!
3. WOOD-TONED KITCHEN CABINETS
The other big kitchen cabinet design trend is the re-introduction of wood tones. Except, the glazed, oak cabinets of 2005 are actually still out (and need to stay that way). They’ve been replaced with with rough-hewn, rich, and natural looking woods. Wood grain cabinets are especially gorgeous paired with white marble counters and aged brass or bronze hardware.
4. THE LUXURY RANGE
Luxury ranges have always been a sought-after item among professional chefs. but now they’re much more then there intended purpose they are a must have style statement too. If you are wanting a statement piece sure to make anyone drool over in your kitchen other then the food, then a La Cornue or Lacanche range is a must-have!
